Venue
The Stadsschouwburg Groningen is located just outside the city centre and close to UMCG.

Travelling from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Groningen
By train (recommended)
The most convenient way to travel from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Groningen is by train. Schiphol Airport has a railway station located directly beneath the airport terminal. Direct trains to Groningen Central Station depart regularly throughout the day, with a travel time of approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Depending on the time of travel, some journeys may require one transfer.

Train tickets can be purchased:

• Online in advance via the NS website or NS app;
• At the yellow NS ticket machines at Schiphol Airport;
• By using a contactless debit or credit card to check in and out at the yellow check-in poles. E-tickets can be used directly from the NS app or as a printed ticket.

Airport transfer
If you prefer a door-to-door service, several reliable companies offer private transfers from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Groningen. Although this option is more expensive than travelling by train, it can be a comfortable choice if you are travelling with colleagues, carrying a lot of luggage, or arriving late in the evening. We recommend booking your transfer before your trip. 

Car rental
For participants who prefer to travel independently, rental cars are available directly at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Most major international car rental companies are located in Schiphol Plaza, just a short walk from the arrivals hall. To ensure availability and the best rates, we recommend making a reservation in advance.

By car
From Schiphol Airport, follow the A4 towards Amsterdam, then take the A1, A6 and A7 to Groningen. Stadsschouwburg Groningen is located on the edge of the historic city centre. Parking at the City Theatre is only available by prior arrangement and reservation through the Congress Secretariat. These parking spaces are primarily reserved for visitors with disabilities or reduced mobility. Spaces are very limited. Nearby parking facilities include:

• P-UMCG Noord – Antonius Deusinglaan 1
• P-Damsterdiep – Damsterdiep 5
• P-Boterdiep – Bloemsingel 10

Lunch & refreshment breaks
Lunch and refreshments are provided at the Stadschouwburg and are included in your registration. Please see the full programme for timings. 

Scientific programme
All the session of the Scientific program will be held in the Theater room of the Stadschouwburg. Any last-minute changes to the program will be available on the website.

Chair reservation
Please note that the first two rows in the auditorium are always reserved for speakers. We therefore kindly ask attendees not to take a seat in these rows unless they are presenting.

Wifi acces
During Corlas you can use the dedicated Corlas wifi that is available at the Stadschouwburg.

Mobile connectivity
To stay connected during your visit, we recommend using an eSIM if your current mobile phone plan does not provide coverage in the Netherlands. An eSIM offers a simple and convenient way to access mobile data throughout your stay, allowing you to use navigation, communicate with fellow participants, and receive conference updates without worrying about roaming charges.

Currency
The official currency in the Netherlands is the Euro (€). Debit and credit cards are accepted almost everywhere, including shops, restaurants, hotels, and public transport. Carrying a small amount of cash is optional but may be useful in a few situations.

Climate consideration
The Stadsschouwburg is a 19th century congress venue. It has no air conditioning and may be warm in summer. Please dress accordingly.

Accompanying Persons programme
Please note that registration is required for all activities; therefore, walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Participants are kindly requested to wear or carry their name badge at all times during the programme.
For all activities, participants will gather at the Stadschouwburg. For activities that include coach transportation, the coach will depart from the Stadschouwburg and return participants there at the end of the activity. If you have any questions or would like to cancel or change an activity, please contact the registration desk.

Photograpy
During the Welcome Reception, the scientific Programme, and the Gala Dinner on Wednesday, a professional photographer will be present to capture photographs for promotional and atmospheric purposes. In addition, the official group photo of all members will be taken during the Welcome Reception on Sunday August 23.

Morning run
On Wednesday morning, a joint morning run is organized. We gather at 06:55 at Stadschouwburg — make sure you join us for the run!
